Outfit: Walking With Superheroes

Ordinarily, I'm not one for leggings and especially not as a statement piece. It might be because that scene where Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf's exclaims 'Leggings are not pants!' is embedded in my mind. But recently, I've decided to embrace leggings! Sorry, Blair Waldorf, leggings as pants are comfy as hell and awesome if you know how to work it. As long as it's not opaque, leggings are fine as bottoms. So, when I saw these MARVEL leggings, the comic fan in me had to get them! They're a bit hard to style around because the print is so eye-catching but it's noticeable in such a fun way.Casual outfit featuring Primark's MARVEL superhero comic leggings.

WALKING WITH SUPERHEROES

* The decrease in image quality from my last lifestyle/fashion post hurts my eyes as well. Believe me, I'm very aware that these pictures are grainy, out of focus, and not consistent in lighting and coloring. But at home, I have no one to take my picture much less anyone with a DSLR so I'm making due with a super old little digital camera. I want to do the occasional outfit posts because I like showing off my style so yeah...bear with me here. I'm hoping to at least better the lighting and clear the background crap next time I shoot.Casual outfit featuring Primark's MARVEL superhero comic leggings. For a statement print like this, I thought it'd be best to wear it with a a simple crop top and jacket to really call attention to the fun leggings. But I didn't want it to be too plain so I chose my denim jacket with studs and gold buckle cut-out boots to bring a more edgy touch. Accessories like my gold rings and hat just make the outfit a little more put together and cool. Also, I'm a dork and tried posing like some of these crime fighting heroes.

These leggings feature a print starring Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, Wolverine and the Fantastic Four!As everyone will soon realize, this POW! necklace is my favorite accessory and a staple piece in many of my outfits. But I thought it was especially fitting to wear it with these leggings. I can kick some ass too!

(Damn, lost the Tumblr link for the Steve Rogers gif. If you know the source, please link!)

Any guesses to who in these leggings is my favorite Marvel superhero? Captain America, of course! Specifically the one and only, Steve Rogers as well as Bucky Barnes' brief run. Spider-man would probably be second favorite hero.I'm showing the last issue of Ed Brubaker's run of Captain America, which I just finished. I really enjoyed it as an origin story for Bucky Barnes and his redemption as the Winter Soldier. I'm not a big fan of Bucky or Natasha in the MCU movies but I loved Brubaker's Winter Soldier series with them.Although as much as I liked Brubaker's story for Bucky's revival, it was yet another disappointing characterization of Steve Rogers. It wasn't terrible by any means but man, for me nothing compares to MCU's Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans. MCU's Captain America has this extraordinary and very adorable mix of heroism and genuine kindness that I've never found anywhere else. The characterization of Steve in Captain America's mini comics about Rikki, Steve's teenage sidekick in an alternate universe, as well Marvel: Earth's Mightiest Avengers are pretty great too but MCU Steve Rogers is forever one of my favorite superheroes and absolutely the best Steve. I want to draw hearts about his amazing face. How would you guys wear these leggings? Or tell me your favorite MARVEL superhero!
